PulseCAD FAQ

General

Is PulseCAD browser-based? Yes. Dispatchers, officers, and civilians all use it in any browser at cad.mypulsetech.com. There's also an optional desktop app for staff who want a standalone window. The only thing installed on your FiveM server is the integration resource.

Does it work without FiveM? Yes — the full CAD (dispatch, MDT, fire/EMS, tow, civilian, court) works standalone. The FiveM resource adds live tracking, ALPR, in-game IDs, and more on top.

Which frameworks are supported? Standalone, ESX, QBCore, and QBox.

Is there a dark mode? Yes. Toggle light/dark from the Hub and the operational terminals; your choice is remembered.

Do I need to refresh to see updates? No. Calls, unit statuses, dispatches, BOLOs, messages, and query results all update in real time across every open screen.

Can I be in more than one community? Yes. Switch communities from the Portal or the profile menu; your role and characters are separate per community.

Can one community run more than one game server? Yes. A community can have multiple servers (e.g. main and events). Units, calls, and records are scoped to the server, and staff pick a server when going on duty.

Optional features

Is the Court / DOJ system required? No — it's optional and available on Professional plans and up. It has several modes, from fully manual to rules-based to AI-assisted, and individual pieces are toggles in Admin.

What are the AI Assist features, and do they cost extra to run? AI Assist is optional and off by default. You bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic (Claude) API key, so any AI usage is billed to your own key. It powers things like report drafting and, if you enable it, an AI judge.

What is roster sync? An optional integration that links PulseCAD with PulseRoster to keep membership, ranks, and on-duty status in sync between the two. Configure it in Admin.

What is cross-community data sharing? An opt-in network where allied communities agree to share plate and person lookups, so a query can return hits from partner cities. See Data Sharing.

FiveM

Do I have to paste an API key into the resource? No. The download from Admin → FiveM is pre-configured for your community — the key is baked in server-side. Just ensure pulsecad.

A unit isn't showing on the live map. Why? Check three things: the player linked their account (/cadlink <code>), they're on duty, and the viewer is in the same community and server. On the officer MDT, the unit's agency must also be on your watch list (Dispatch sees all units).

A disconnected player is still on the map. They drop off automatically — instantly on a clean disconnect, and within ~60 seconds otherwise (the CAD ages out stale GPS). A hard browser refresh shows the current state immediately.

ALPR isn't alerting. ALPR requires Wraith ARS 2X (wk_wars2x) installed and scanning. To test the CAD link without a radar, run /plate <plate> in-game.

/reg or /id says I have no character. Those use your active CAD character. Create one in the Civilian Portal, then it'll be available in-game (and you can switch with /setciv).

Accounts & access

What are the roles? owner → admin → supervisor → member → readonly, plus a judge role for court/DOJ. Owners and admins reach the Admin Console. A super-admin flag is reserved for PulseTech platform staff.

How do members join? With an invite code or permission key from Admin → Members, or via the public directory if you make your community discoverable. A community's join policy can be public, code-required, or invite-only.

I sent a message to a unit that's off duty — did it get lost? No. Messages are delivered when the recipient next comes on duty.
