Terminology & 10-Codes¶
PulseCAD is modeled on a real-world Computer-Aided Dispatch system, so it uses the vocabulary a real dispatcher and officer use on the radio and in the CAD. If you're coming from a typical FiveM CAD, this page is the fastest way to get fluent. Most of these values are admin-configurable per community, so treat the tables below as the shipped defaults.
Core abbreviations¶
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| CAD | Computer-Aided Dispatch — the whole system. |
| MDT | Mobile Data Terminal — the in-unit officer console (/mdt, plus /fire, /tow). |
| DOJ | Department of Justice — the Court surface (/court). |
| BOLO | Be On the LookOut — a flagged person / vehicle / general alert. |
| ALPR | Automatic License-Plate Reader (the in-game Wraith scanner). |
| NLETS | The teletype-style formatting PulseCAD uses for plate/person/gun/boat query returns. |
| RO | Registered Owner (of a vehicle, firearm, or boat). |
| FG | Field Gathering — the traffic-stop / on-scene data-entry screen in the MDT. |
| TRS | Traffic Stop — starts a traffic-stop call from the MDT. |
| PCR | Patient Care Report (Fire/EMS). |
| NFIRS | The Fire Run / incident report format (Fire/EMS). |
| Postal | A numbered map location FiveM communities call out instead of coordinates. |
10-codes¶
The radio codes PulseCAD recognizes (and the command bar understands). These are the shipped defaults; your community may add or rename statuses.
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 10-4 | Acknowledged / OK (Code 4) |
| 10-6 | Busy / Unable to talk |
| 10-7 | Out of service |
| 10-8 | In service / Available |
| 10-15 | Transporting |
| 10-20 | Location |
| 10-23 | Arrived / On scene |
| 10-38 | Traffic stop |
| 10-76 | Enroute |
| 10-97 | On scene / Arrived |
| 10-98 | Assignment complete / Clear |
| 10-99 | Emergency (officer needs help) |
You don't have to memorize these
On the Dispatch command bar you can type the code, the word, or an abbreviation — 5361 10-97, 5361 ON SCENE, and 5361 O/S all do the same thing.
Unit statuses & colors¶
Statuses are color-coded consistently across the board, MDT, and map. Call statuses (Enroute, On Scene, etc.) can only be set while a unit is attached to a call. Colors and labels are admin-configurable in Admin → Dispatch & Records Configuration → Status Codes.
| Status | Default color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| AVAIL | Black | Available / in service |
| ENROUTE | Red | Responding to a call |
| SCENE | Blue | On scene |
| OK | Green | Code 4 / all good |
| UT | Orange | Unit Transport |
| AD | Light blue | At 2nd Location |
| OOS | Gray | Out of service |
Fire/EMS and Tow surfaces add situational statuses such as TRANS (transporting), AT HOSP, STAGING, and IN TOW.
Dispositions¶
How a call is closed. Any text is accepted, but these are the common codes:
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ARR | Arrest |
| CIT | Citation issued |
| WARN | Warning given |
| GOA | Gone on arrival |
| INFO | Information only (no action) |
Dispositions are configurable per surface in Admin → Dispatch & Records Configuration → Dispositions & OOS.
Unit designations¶
Callsign number series map to departments (San Andreas defaults — set your own callsign prefixes in Admin → Departments):
| Series | Department |
|---|---|
| 5400 | LSPD (Los Santos Police Department) |
| 1200 | BCSO (Blaine County Sheriff's Office) |
| 2500 | PBPD (Paleto Bay Police Department) |
| 3200 | SSPD (Sandy Shores Police Department) |
| 400 | SAHP (San Andreas Highway Patrol) |
Keyboard shortcuts at a glance¶
Each surface has its own function-key bindings — see the page for that surface:
PANIC
There is no MDT panic key. An officer triggers PANIC in-game; it surfaces as a red OFFICER DISTRESS banner (with a repeating alarm) on the Dispatch console and every MDT until it's cleared.
