Plans and Billing

Your community's plan decides which parts of PulseCAD are switched on. Everything to do with paying for it lives in one place: Billing (/settings/billing). The owner reaches it from the profile menu on the community home, or from Admin → Billing.

Only the community owner can change a plan or a payment method. Admins can run the CAD but not the account. An admin who needs a plan changed has to ask the owner.

FiveM and ER:LC plans

FiveM and ER:LC communities have separate plans, and a community can only buy its own game's:

FiveM ER:LC
Pulse One, $12/month Pulse One ER:LC, free, with $0.99 top-ups
Pulse Pro, $29/month
Pulse Max, $49/month Pulse Max ER:LC, $14.99/month

ER:LC has two plans. Pulse Max ER:LC includes what FiveM's Pulse Max does, apart from the parts that only exist on FiveM (the in-game resource and its plugins, and the ESX / QBCore / QBox database link), and includes PulseRoster Standard rather than PulseRoster Pro and PulseRadio Pro. There is no Pulse Pro ER:LC.

The game is chosen when the community is created and cannot be changed, so Billing only ever shows your community's own plans.

Pulse One ER:LC is free. There is no card and no time limit, and there is nothing to check out: all ER:LC communities not paying for Pulse Max ER:LC are on it automatically. FiveM has no free plan.

It allows 50 members, 1 game server, 4 departments, 300 civilian characters, 500 registered vehicles and 1,000 reports a month. Only police, sheriff, fire, EMS and tow departments count toward the 4; Dispatch, the court and the civilian portal never do.

Top-ups (Pulse One ER:LC)

When the free plan's limit is not enough, raise just that one. Each top-up is **\(0.99 a month** (\)9.90 a year), and you can buy as many of each as you need:

Top-up Adds
Members 15 members
Departments 2 departments
Game servers 1 game server
Civilians 150 civilian characters
Vehicles 250 registered vehicles
Reports 500 reports a month

Open Billing → Top-ups and Max and set how many of each you want on the Pulse One ER:LC card. The card shows your running total, and once it reaches about $10 a month it points out that Pulse Max ER:LC, with no limits at all, may be cheaper. Raising a top-up is charged straight away for the rest of the period; lowering one is credited on your next invoice. Setting them all to zero ends your top-ups at the end of the period you have paid for. Billing lists your active top-ups under your plan.

AI Assist ($5/month, 8,000 requests) can be added on the same card.

Custom Roblox Game Integration

Running your own Roblox game instead of, or as well as, ER:LC? PulseTech can build a PulseCAD integration for it. It is a one-time purchase of $79.00, offered to the owner of an ER:LC or Roblox community.

Open Billing, find the Custom Roblox Game Integration card, and choose Buy for $79.00. You need to link your Discord account first, because the project happens in a Discord ticket.

Before you can pay you have to read the terms all the way to the end, tick each one, and type I AGREE:

  1. Support only while you pay for PulseCAD. PulseTech supports the integration while your community has an active, paid PulseCAD subscription. Once that subscription ends, PulseTech no longer provides product or development support for it.
  2. You give us access to build it. You agree to give PulseTech access to the related server and game files and to your community (your Roblox game, Discord server and the staff we need to work with).
  3. Your files are client-provided data. Anything your community gives us is treated as client-provided data and protected under the PulseTech Privacy Policy.
  4. No refunds. The purchase is non-refundable.

After you pay, a ticket opens in the PulseTech Discord, our developers are notified, and you are added to it. Billing shows your purchases with a link to each ticket. If you are not in the PulseTech Discord yet you will not be able to see your ticket: join the server and the team will add you.

You can buy more than one. Each purchase is a separate project with its own ticket.

What you're on

Billing shows your current plan at the top. An ER:LC community without a paid plan shows Pulse One ER:LC (free) with an Upgrade button. If a FiveM community's Billing says No plan, the community has no plan yet (it never had one, or its free trial has ended): nobody can go on duty, and the Civilian portal is closed. Characters and records are kept. Billing then shows a Choose a plan button.

Communities that took part in the early access program show Beta access instead of a plan name until that access ends. Billing shows the end date and a Choose a plan button, so you can subscribe before then and nothing changes for your members. Once beta access has ended, Billing shows No plan with a Choose a plan button. These communities do not get the 72-hour free trial, because the beta was their free period.

Free trial

Each owner gets one 72-hour free trial: everything unlocked, no card. It is one per person, not one per community, so a second community you own does not get another. It normally starts when you create the community. If you unticked Start the 72-hour free trial now at that point, the owner can start it any time from Billing → Start 72-hour free trial. The button only appears while the community has no plan and has not used its trial.

When the trial ends:

  • If you have not picked a plan, nothing is charged. The community keeps everything it made. On FiveM, going on duty stops until you choose a plan. On ER:LC, the community moves to the free Pulse One ER:LC and keeps going; only the Pro and Max features switch off.
  • If you want to start paying before it ends, open Billing → Choose a plan and pick any plan. You are charged straight away and the trial ends there.

Changing plan

Billing → Change plan takes you to the PulseTech billing service, where you pick a plan and pay. You come straight back to this page afterwards.

  • Monthly or yearly. Use the toggle at the top. Yearly is ten months' price for twelve.
  • Moving up is charged on the spot for the rest of your current period.
  • Moving down takes effect straight away, and the unused part of your old plan comes off your next invoice.
  • Going back to the free Pulse One ER:LC from Max (ER:LC only): choose it on the billing page. Max runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then the community moves to the free plan and you can add top-ups.
  • Moving from top-ups to Max charges Max straight away and removes your top-ups, which Max no longer needs.
  • AI Assist is included on Pulse Pro (2,000 requests a month), Pulse Max and Pulse Max ER:LC (8,000). The $5/month add-on, a checkbox on the plan's card, turns it on at 8,000 a month on Pulse One or Pulse One ER:LC, or raises Pulse Pro from 2,000 to 8,000. It is not offered on Pulse Max.

Plans and prices are published at cad.mypulsetech.com/pricing. That page is the one to trust. It and the checkout read the same source, so they cannot disagree.

Payment method and invoices

Billing → Payment method and invoices opens the billing portal, where you can:

  • change the card on file
  • download past invoices
  • cancel the subscription

Only the person who pays for the community can open it, because it shows their card and all PulseTech invoices on their account. If community ownership has been transferred, the new owner can still choose a plan; to move the existing subscription over, contact support.

PulseCAD never sees or stores your card details. Payments are handled entirely by the billing service.

What happens if a payment fails

Going on duty stops. Everything else stays open.

That's the deliberate shape of it: you can still sign in, reach the community home, open Admin, and, most importantly, reach Billing to fix the payment. A community whose card expired is not locked out of the page where they'd fix it.

It happens as soon as a charge fails, and it comes back on its own the moment a payment goes through. The billing service retries the card for you, or you can update it straight away from Billing → Update payment method.

You'll see a message saying payment needs attention, with a link to Billing. It is not the "this community is suspended" screen; that one is a staff action for abuse and means something completely different. If you see that, contact support. If you see the payment message, update your card.

If you go down a plan

You can only move to a plan your community fits. Before a smaller plan can be chosen, the community has to be within that plan's limits:

  • members
  • servers
  • departments
  • civilian characters
  • vehicles
  • reports filed in the last 30 days

If you're over, the plan picker shows exactly what to remove, for example civilian characters 900 / 300 (remove 600), and your plan stays as it is until you're under. Billing → Usage and limits shows the same table for all plans and has a fix for each row:

  • Members, departments and servers: open the matching Admin page and remove what you no longer need.
  • Civilians and vehicles: use Clean up civilians or Clean up vehicles. It lists them least recently used first, can select the number you need to remove in one go, and asks you to type that number before deleting. This permanently deletes players' records: a civilian's licences, vehicles and firearms go with them, and charges or warrants on reports stay but no longer name anyone. Up to 500 at a time.
  • Reports: these can't be deleted. The count is the last 30 days, so it falls on its own; Usage and limits shows the date you'll be under.

Once you're on the smaller plan, some things are kept but limited:

  • Settings you authored stay and keep working. A theme you built keeps rendering. What a lower plan removes is the ability to change it.
  • Court cases stay readable. Losing the court feature stops you opening new cases; it does not hide the ones you have.
  • Recordings you already made stay playable until the expiry they were given when recorded.
  • Record history is a view window, not a delete. If your plan shows 90 days, older records are retained and reappear in full the moment you move back up.

Cancelling

Cancel from the billing portal. You keep service until the end of the period you've paid for.

Deleting a community cancels its subscription immediately. You are not charged again for a community that no longer exists.

Questions about a charge

Phone support is included on all plans. See Support. Have your community name on hand; the line identifies you by the rotating PIN in your account.
