Live Map, Calls & On-Scene

Live map

The CAD polls PRC's API every ~20 seconds and plots on-duty players on the official Liberty County map, the same map the game uses, with postal codes and street names baked in. Each player shows their team colour, callsign, and wanted level; in-game 911s show as red pins.

  • A player appears on the map once their Roblox account is linked (Account → Connect Roblox) and they're on a non-civilian team in game.
  • Positions are polled, not per-frame; expect a dot to update every poll cycle, not instantly.
  • The terminal map (MDT / Dispatch / Fire / Tow) shows your department's members and calls; add another department from the Watch button to see it too. Dispatch sees everyone. Civilians never show on the operational map.

In-game 911s → CAD calls

ER:LC's own emergency calls (the pothole/downed-tree/medical callouts, plus player 911s) are mirrored onto the CAD board:

  • Each in-game call becomes a CAD incident, tagged with its in-game call number (e.g. 911 #136: Pothole) so an officer can match the ER:LC 911 menu to the CAD incident at a glance.
  • The call is reverse-geocoded to a postal and given a location descriptor, and routed to the matching department (Police/Sheriff → LEO, Fire → Fire/EMS, DOT → Tow/DOT).
  • When the call clears in game, the CAD call auto-closes, unless a unit is attached, in which case it stays open so the officer can finish reports/notes and close it themselves.

Auto-attach & auto on-scene

When a linked, on-duty officer responds to a 911 in game (joins it through the ER:LC 911 menu), the CAD:

  1. Attaches their unit to the matching CAD call and sets them ENROUTE.
  2. Flips them ON SCENE automatically once their live position reaches the call, starting the officer-safety scene timer.

This also works for calls created in the CAD (a dispatcher's New Call, or a civilian 911): attach the unit in the CAD (dispatch assigns it, or the officer self-attaches in the MDT), and arriving at the scene flips it ON SCENE the same way.

You must be on the call for on-scene to fire

Simply standing where a call is does not attach you; ER:LC's API only lists you on a call once you've responded to it in game (or a dispatcher/you attach the unit in the CAD). On-scene fires for attached units only.

Callsigns

Once linked, your CAD unit's callsign syncs to your in-game callsign automatically: set 5D-550 in game and your CAD unit becomes 5D-550 on the board.
