Subdivisions

Managing Specialized Units

Subdivisions are specialized units within departments (e.g., SWAT, K9, Traffic). This guide covers creating and managing subdivisions.


Creating a Subdivision

  1. Go to Department > Manage Subdivisions
  2. Click Add Subdivision
  3. Enter details:

Name Unit name K-9 Unit
Abbreviation Short code K9
Description Unit purpose Canine handlers and tracking
Logo Unit badge/logo Upload image
Max Members Cap on unit size (optional) 10
Discord Role For auto-sync (optional) @K9-Unit
  1. Click Create

Assigning Members to Subdivisions

  1. Go to a member's profile
  2. Find their department assignment
  3. Click Manage Subdivisions
  4. Check the subdivisions they belong to
  5. Click Save

Multiple Subdivisions

Members can belong to multiple subdivisions within the same department. For example, an officer could be in both SWAT and FTO.


Subdivision Requirements

You can require certifications for subdivision membership.

Setting Up Requirements

  1. Edit the subdivision
  2. Under Required Certifications, select the needed certs
  3. Save changes

Enforcement

  • Members without required certifications cannot be assigned
  • If a certification expires, a warning is displayed
  • Staff can override requirements if needed

Subdivision Capacity

Setting Max Members

Limit how many members can join a subdivision:

  1. Edit the subdivision
  2. Set Max Members value
  3. Save changes

Capacity Display

  • Current member count shown
  • Warning when near capacity
  • Prevents assignments when full

Discord Role Sync

Link subdivisions to Discord roles for automatic sync.

Setting Up

  1. Edit the subdivision
  2. Select the Discord role
  3. Save changes

Sync Behavior

  • Role added when member joins subdivision
  • Role removed when member leaves subdivision
  • Works with multi-subdivision membership

Managing Subdivisions

Viewing Subdivision Roster

  1. Go to Department > Subdivisions
  2. Click on a subdivision to see members
  3. View member list with rank and status

Editing Subdivisions

  1. Click the edit icon on any subdivision
  2. Modify settings
  3. Save changes

Deleting Subdivisions

  1. Edit the subdivision
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Confirm deletion

Important

Deleting a subdivision removes all member assignments to that unit.
