Commendations¶
Recognizing Member Achievements¶
Commendations allow you to formally recognize member achievements, exceptional performance, and positive contributions.
Awarding Commendations¶
How to Award¶
- Go to a member's profile
- Click Award Commendation
- Select commendation type
- Enter reason/description
- Click Award
Award Details¶

Commendation Types¶
Configure types at Settings > Configuration.
Default Types¶

| Exceptional Performance | Outstanding work |
| Heroic Action | Acts of bravery |
| Community Service | Helping the community |
| Training Excellence | Outstanding training |
| Leadership | Exceptional leadership |
Creating Custom Types¶
- Go to Settings > Configuration
- Find Commendation Types
- Click Add Type
- Enter name and description
- Save
Viewing Commendations¶
Member Profile¶
On each member's profile:
- All commendations received
- Total commendation count
- Recent awards
Community View¶
Go to Commendations for community-wide view:
- All recent commendations
- Filter by type or member
- Search by description
Commendation Statistics¶
Track commendation trends in Analytics:

Dashboard Display¶
Recent commendations appear on the community dashboard:
- Last 30 days of awards
- Quick view of recipient and type
- Link to full details
Editing Commendations¶
Staff can modify commendations:
- Find the commendation
- Click Edit
- Update details
- Save changes
Deleting Commendations¶
- Find the commendation
- Click Delete
- Confirm deletion
Best Practices¶
- Be Specific: Include details about what the member did
- Timely Recognition: Award soon after the achievement
- Consistent Standards: Apply similar standards across members
- Public Recognition: Consider announcing major commendations
- Variety: Use different types appropriately
